Now that Maddy is writing, several times a week Dan and I will find little notes she's written to us. Sometimes the notes are slipped under our bedroom door, folded on our pillow or often she lays them on the bathroom sink. This evening she had misbehaved and was sent to her room. Later we found an adorable, phonetically spelled note that read:
To: Mom and Dad I am sore that I disobayed.

I LOVE when kids start creative spelling. My son who will start kindergarten soon has just started doing it, and I think it's so cute! Also, in regards to your previous post, I am thankful when it's bedtime for the boys every night.
sometimes bad behavior makes us sore. ;) Sarah told me that she always wrote her parents lil notes at that age!
