Watch out Nastia here comes Maddy...

Today was Madison's first gymnastics meet. She's been taking gymnastics since she was 2, but Dan and I have been hesitant to put her on team since it is very time consuming and A LOT of money!!! However, Dan designed her gym's website in exchange for lessons, making this team thing more do-able. Anyway, all season Maddy has practiced with the team but had not attended any meets. Long story short she competed today and placed 3rd in all around, as well as 3rd on bars, vault and floor! We were shocked!Way to go Maddy!

Level 3 girls took 1st place and the coach was so proud of Madison that she let her take the team trophy home until the next practice! Woo hoo we are so proud of you, Maddy!

Christmas

I know, I know, I'm kinda late getting this post out, but here it is (finally). We had a wonderful Christmas. Maddy woke up around 6:30 Christmas morning and we somehow managed to keep her in bed until a little after 7:00. We opened our gifts and the girls played around a bit with their presents before we headed to my parents house for brunch. Mmmm... Mom makes the best breakfast casserole. We also have cinnamon rolls, bacon and hot chocolate!

We left the day after Christmas for Missouri to visit Dan's family. That post will be coming next...get ready there will be a lot of pictures!
